Mashood Bolaji is a Lecturer II in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Ilorin, where he specializes in Clinical Chemistry and Molecular Diagnosis, and is an ongoing PhD scholar. An alumnus of the University of Ilorin (B.Sc.), he also obtained his Master’s degree (M.Sc.) and Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Lagos, and is professionally licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN).

At the University of Ilorin, Mr. Bolaji coordinates and teaches an array of core courses spanning from foundational medical laboratory concepts to advanced molecular biology techniques and systemic disease biochemistry. His research portfolio is deeply collaborative and interdisciplinary, focusing on therapeutic phytomedicine interventions against heavy metal toxicities, biochemical markers in prostate oncogenesis, and the field epidemiology of parasitic co-infections (malaria and schistosomiasis) in rural Nigerian communities. He has presented his work globally, notably at the International Marmara Scientific Research Congress in Turkey, and remains committed to advancing laboratory medicine through rigorous teaching, his ongoing doctoral research, and evidence-based science.
